The Dropkick Murphys were among the first to play at House of Blues Boston when it opened on Lansdowne Street, throwing St. Patrick’s Day concerts at the venue that year and in following years. The nationwide House of Blues chain got its start in the Boston area in 1992, when founder Isaac Tigrett opened the first outpost in an old Harvard Square house.
